Her Story
Katy is an Etobicoke-based specialist in “Moving Meditation” whose path was shaped by both the boardroom and the quiet strength of family tradition. Following a 17-year career in corporate, leading creative teams at TD Bank and a background in Image Arts New Media from TMU, she transitioned into the wellness space post-COVID to share the restorative power of Qigong and Tai Chi.
This pivot was rooted in a lifelong observation of her father. Throughout her life, she watched him practice Qigong daily, but it was during his 2017–2019 battle with cancer that the impact of his practice became clear. Katy saw firsthand the power of consistency and dedication; he taught her the language of breath and movement through action, showing her how to find stillness in the face of life’s greatest challenges. Although he has since passed away, his unwavering dedication to the movement and breathwork—never missing a day—taught her the power of health and healing through role-modeling alone. Today, Katy honors that legacy of consistency in every class she leads.
